Dr. Gregory Eckel, ND, LAc
Dr. Greg Eckel has been living in the Portland area since 1992. Dr. Eckel became increasingly aware of and concerned about the overuse of medications with children while teaching preschool, and this experience inspired his entry into Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine. In 2001 he co-founded Nature Cures Clinic.
The combination of Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and botanical medicine) has provided Dr. Eckel with a variety of tools to treat both acute and chronic illness while valuing the principles of prevention and wellness.
He has developed a deep and personal knowledge of chronic neurological conditions in the recent past. His wife Sarieah, passed of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), a condition with no known cure. As she was the love of his life, being a good husband and doctor, he set to the research to ‘swing for the fence,’ while unfortunately not finding a remedy for Sarieah, he uncovered Sarieah’s gifts.
The deep dive uncovered integrated medicine and the development of a brain integrated program. The development of a nasal spray specific to calm neuro-inflammation in the brain. Mind-body techniques to reverse anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. The list goes on, and so does the impact of Sarieah’s all too short life on the planet.
He is often asked what he specializes in with the quick retort, “treating people as whole dynamic beings moving through time and space.” We employ the physiology and biochemistry of the body in aiding in the healing possibilities. After 17 years in practice he is continually amazed at the healing possibilities of the body and specializes in difficult and recalcitrant conditions (ie. those that have been everywhere and tried everything often find some relief to a total resolution of their health conditions).

As an absolute advocate of the importance of health, fitness, and wellness and with a conviction to the belief in the ongoing need for new standards in our healthcare systems, Chaunelle is beyond thrilled to have joined the Go Wellness team.
With a background in and passion for film and video production and with a love of all things creative she hopes to bring a new era of content creation and visual ingenuity to the Go Wellness brand. Having spent years in front of and behind the camera her ability to see projects from different perspectives is diverse and in-depth.
Along with her years in communications and production she brings with her knowledge and experience of the benefits of health awareness. As a previous fitness instructor and Ashtanga emphasized Yogini she relates first hand to the need of educating all human beings in the necessity of a life focused on Mind, Body and Spirit.
Although these roles have played an immense part in creating who she is today, the role of Mother to her two sons remains the most influential and inspiring as of yet and allows her the desire to continuously seek the paths in which we all connect. This, she believes, is the fundamental Source of great health and a purposeful life.
